About Amplifier Bar
Amplifier is a long-running rock bar in the 393 Murray Street complex, next door to its sister club Magnet House. It programs original bands, house bands, rock'n'roll DJs and touring acts, and also has ten-pin bowling.
The calendar leans heavy and loud, with metal, hardcore and indie shows, release launches and plenty of tribute nights, from Deftones and nu metal to Britpop. It also hosts official after-parties for big touring rock shows. Gig listings sometimes give the address as 383 Murray Street.
