About Goodwill Club
The Goodwill Club is the basement club of The Rechabite, a heritage hall built in 1924 by the Independent Order of Rechabites, a temperance society. The building was a dance hall and later a theatre and music venue before closing in the early 2000s; it reopened after restoration in November 2019 with a bar on each of its four levels.
The basement hosts DJ and club nights, electronic touring acts, open mic poetry and fundraisers, while the hall upstairs runs gigs and comedy and Hello Rooftop Bar sits on top. Recent bookings have ranged from drum and bass nights to house DJs.
