About The Red Rattler Theatre

The Red Rattler is a community-owned, queer-run performance space in Marrickville, named after Sydney's old red rattler trains. Five local artists started it in 2009 to give alternative arts, performance and activism room to grow.

The room holds about 250 people and hosts a mixed program of live music, club and dance nights, experimental gigs and community events, including nights from queer, African and diasporic collectives. The venue is wheelchair accessible and is also available for hire.
