The trains mostly stop after midnight. Here’s what runs instead.

NightRide buses

Between midnight and about 4:30am most trains stop and NightRide buses replace them, stopping at or near the stations on each line. Many leave from stops near Town Hall Station.

Metro, light rail and ferries

Sydney Metro runs night services every day. Light rail runs until about 1am. Some ferries leave as late as midnight to 1am.

Taxis

On Friday and Saturday nights, wait at a secure taxi rank. Secure ranks are pre-paid between 10pm and 5am.
