About The Bank Hotel
The Bank Hotel is a late-trading King Street pub with a kitchen, a garden bar and Waywards, an upstairs live music room that was rebuilt in 2019 with a bigger stage.
Its best-known night is Birdcage, a weekly queer party held every Wednesday in the Waywards Ballroom. Running since 2013, it focuses on lesbian, queer and gender-diverse performers and FLINTA* people, with DJs, nonstop drag shows and a dance floor, and a safe space policy at the door.
