About Rhino Room

The Rhino Room has been running stand-up comedy and live music since 1997. Its original Frome Street building was demolished in 2017, and the venue now operates on Pirie Street, sharing the address with the Lowlife Basement Bar, which hosts bands and folk nights.

The Adelaide Comedy Showcase runs every Friday, now in its 26th year, and Monday is the Laugh Lab open mic. Touring comedians, pop punk and emo nights and themed late-night parties fill other nights, some running until 3am. The venue also hires out its spaces for private events.
