About Townsville Brewing Co
Townsville Brewing Co is a brewpub in the former Townsville General Post Office, a Victorian building opened in 1889. Its clock tower was dismantled in 1942 over bombing fears and rebuilt in 1963. The brewery opened in 2001 under the Ramm family, and the Bredhauer family bought it in 2020.
Beers brewed on site include Be More Pacific Ale and Legends Ultra Crisp Lager, alongside limited releases. There is a brewpub serving pub classics and Restaurant 1889 for more formal dining. Trivia runs on Wednesdays, and the brewery hosts big street events on Flinders Street such as Oktoberfest, with bands and DJs.
