About Fremantle Buffalo Club

The Fremantle Buffalo Club has been at 54 High Street since 1939, founded by the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes. It became a not-for-profit association in the 1960s and is now run by a volunteer committee of members. Over the decades it has served returned servicemen, unions, dock workers, darts leagues and punks. The building is on the heritage list.

After money troubles, a younger committee took over around 2023 and the club now runs as a live music and arts space. Local bands play regularly, including launches and touring line-ups. Anyone can join, with a yearly membership.
