Don Frico

22 Montpelier Retreat, Battery Point, in the old Society Salamanca building. New York slices and Detroit squares with martinis – opened in May 2026 by the team behind Grinners.

About Don Frico

Don Frico is a late-night pizza, cocktail and vinyl lounge behind Salamanca, in the former Society Salamanca venue. It opened in May 2026, run by five owners including Ben Wells and Jordan Dunn of Grinners and a three-chef kitchen team. The fit-out mixes 1920s art deco and 1980s disco, with curved booths and maroon velvet.

The kitchen sells New York-style slices and Detroit-style squares, and the bar pours martinis, margaritas and house cocktails. Vinyl DJs from the Ticcle crew play on Fridays and Saturdays, leaning towards Italo disco. The venue holds a 3am licence.
