Canberra / Kingston & Griffith / The Dock
Pub & live music
The Dock
7/81 Giles Street, Kingston. Sports pub with live acoustic music Friday night and twice on Saturday, plus a 9–10pm ‘Shake It Hour’.
About The Dock
The Dock is a sports-oriented pub on the Kingston Foreshore. A 2019 profile describes an inside dining room with a pub feel, multiple HD screens for sport, a mosaic seascape around the kitchen pass and rotating portraits of sportspeople. A December 2025 HerCanberra guide adds a covered outdoor area and a hearty pub menu, and recommends it for sports fans wanting a casual drink.
The venue's own site mentions live music, live sport screenings and a Dining Dome, though its event listings appear to date from 2022. A 2022 listing showed free live music on Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons.
It opened in December 2014 as a family business founded by siblings Glen and Jane Collins, with former Brumbies and Wallabies players Ben Alexander and Scott Fardy as co-owners (per the 2019 article). Current hours were not found; the 2019 article gave 11am until late daily.
