The Mount Gambier Hotel, known locally as The G, is a heritage hotel established in 1862 in the centre of Mount Gambier. Family-owned and part of the Matthews Hospitality Group, it has been extensively refurbished and combines bars, indoor and alfresco dining, gaming and accommodation.
It is a relaxed hotel for drinks and meals rather than a late-night venue, pouring local beers and Limestone Coast wines, with 2-for-1 cocktails from Thursday to Saturday and a private event space called Gather at 1862.
